Congo Newspapers Microfilmed
February 5, 2010The Cooperative Africana Microform Project has completed microfilming a collection of 166 newspapers from Congo. The Library of Congress office in Nairobi issues collected the issues, which include such titles as La Bourse, Mukuba, and Umoja.
African Module of World Newspaper Archive Released
January 27, 2010The preliminary release for World Newspaper Archive–African Newspapers, which contains 13 titles with approximately 85,000 pages, is now available for preview.

CAMP Welcomes the University of Sheffield as Newest Member
November 17, 2009The University of Sheffield (UK) is the newest international member of CAMP (Cooperative Africana Microform Project). CAMP, founded in 1963, is a joint effort by research libraries throughout the world and the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) to promote the preservation of publications and archives concerning the nearly fifty nations of Sub-Saharan Africa

CAMP Welcomes Bodleian Library as Newest Member
April 7, 2009The Bodleian Library of Commonwealth & African Studies at Rhodes House is the newest international member of the Cooperative Africana Microform Project (CAMP). International membership allows institutions abroad to access CAMP’s microfilm collections (provided they support the costs of shipping).
CAMP acquires Namibian newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung
December 22, 2008The Cooperative Africana Microform Project (CAMP) has acquired an extensive run on microfilm of Allgemeine Zeitung (Windhoek, Namibia) from 1949 to 2007. The Allgemeine Zeitung is the oldest newspaper in Namibia, founded in 1915.
