The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is an international membership organization of research libraries committed to building, stewarding, and sharing a wealth of resource materials from all world regions to support research and teaching. As a cooperative venture, CRL’s mission, vision, values, and strategy are guided and governed by CRL’s Board of Directors, elected by members of the CRL Council of Voting Members.
The CRL Nominating Committee calls for nominations to the CRL Board of Directors for a three-year (2025-2028) term. The Board convenes four times annually for a 1-day meeting, two of which are in person in Chicago (CRL covers travel and business expenses). CRL has a dynamic staff and leadership team that provides extensive board support. The CRL Board is an active, engaged, working body, and CRL supports board members through orientation and ongoing education. The Board encompasses a wide cross-section of leadership from the library community, higher education, and other allied professions. Three members of the 15-member Board may be from institutions/organizations that are not CRL institutional members.
The CRL Nominating Committee is charged to review the nominations submitted and create a slate for Board service that best represents the diverse set of perspectives, expertise, and institutional contexts reflected in the CRL community. Candidates for the CRL Board of Directors will be voted on at the May 20–21, 2025, CRL Annual Council of Voting Members meeting.
Please submit your nomination via the form linked here by 11:59pm CT on January 31, 2025.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve our dynamic and essential community.
