Many major microform sets and collections are too costly for individual institutions to acquire, and are often not readily available through interlibrary loan. The Purchase Proposal Program permits member libraries to nominate microform and hard copy collections for CRL purchase. The nominations are then compiled into a ballot and CRL voting members rank their preferences for purchase. Through this program, CRL acquires several microform and hard copy collections every year.
CRL is currently accepting nominations for its FY 2012 Purchase Proposal Program. All CRL libraries may nominate major microform and hard copy collections for CRL purchase under this acquisition program. Last year’s program resulted in the purchase of nine sets with a total list value of $151,200, including Early Printed Books on Religion from Colonial Spanish America (right).
CRL has sent passwords to access the online nomination form to the contact person at each CRL institution. To obtain the name of your institution's contact, or if your institution did not receive a password, please email Mary Wilke.
