The Center is pleased to announce that its catalog records have surpassed the one million mark. Since 2002, the cataloging department has added approximately 500,000 records to OCLC and the Center’s catalog, about 125,000 each year. This initiative has drawn on the efforts and skills of staff members across several departments—Acquisitions, Access Services, Cataloging, Stacks Management, and Systems—and benefited from an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant, which enabled us to develop efficient workflows. With the continued support of our members, the Center’s resources and the discovery tools to access them will continue to grow.
