This set has seven parts:
GUIDE: Thompson, Lawrence S. Bibliography of Spanish plays on microcards. The complete set is expected to include about 12,000 Spanish, Catalonian and South American plays from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries on microcard and fiche. This is a continuing project, with additional fiche received periodically. Some individual titles are cataloged in CRLCATALOG.
This series, also called Hispanic books printed before 1601, is based on the bibliographies listed below and covers early books printed in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America
GUIDE: Zernova, A. S. Knigi kirillovskoi pechati, izdannye v Moskve v XVI-XVII vekakh : svodnyi katalog. Z7044.C4Z58 The Center holds a positive microfilm set of all the titles listed in the Zernova bibliography, books of the Cyrillic press published in Moscow in the 16th and 17th centuries. The originals are in the Lenin Library.
This microfilm set reproduces Italian comedy and tragedy, marionette plays, opera libretti, pageants, and radio and cinema scripts from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The Center received 262 reels of this set; the project has been suspended. Most of the titles have been cataloged with over 2,900 entries in CRLCATALOG.
GUIDE: Michel, S. P. Repertoire des ouvrages imprimes en langue italienne au XVII siecle. This is a microfilm set of a selection of 17th century books written in Italian about all subject areas. The set is based on the Michel bibliography but also contains other titles. This is a continuing project, with additional reels received periodically. Most of the titles have been cataloged with over 2,800 individual titles in CRLCATALOG.
This microfiche collection eventually will include over 14,000 plays from the 17th-19th centuries, including standard editions in complete sets and textually significant editions, school texts, stage adaptations, translations, and poems and prose intended for dramatic presentation. The set is based on the following bibliography: Brenner, Clarence D. A Bibliographical list of plays in the French language, 1700-1789. The following work lists titles included in the 1957-1965 annual shipments: Thompson, Lawrence S. A bibliography of French plays on microcards.
GUIDE: Short-title catalogue of books printed in Italy and of Italian books printed in other countries from 1465-1600, now in the British Museum. Z2342.B7 This set reproduces 15th and 16th century books in all subject areas. The initial selection for the microfilm set is based on the Short-title catalogue, but titles from other collections also will be included. This is a continuing project, with additional reels received periodically. There are over 400 individual titles in CRLCATALOG.
GUIDE: Binger, Norman. A bibliography of German plays on microcards. Z1033.M6B61 [This guide includes plays issued in the 1961-1968 groups.] This is a continuing project including plays published from the 16th to the early 20th centuries. Opera libretti and translations of plays written in languages other than German also are included. From 1961 through 1985, the set was produced in microcard format; from 1986 to date, it is in microfiche. The Center receives additional titles in this set periodically. At its completion, the set will include 12,000-15,000 titles.
