This set reproduces newspaper clippings, compiled by Debs, that covered his speeches, appearances, and other activities.
Includes the papers of Morris Hillquit, one of the founders and leaders of the Socialist Party of America and prominent labor lawyer during the early 20th century.

Newspapers and Publications
This is a microfilm and microfiche set of publications of contemporary left-wing organizations in Britain. The documents are issued each year; the guides every other year.
GUIDE: Left in Britain: a checklist and guide; with historical notes to 37 leftwing political movements and groupings active in Britain between 1904 and 1972, whose publications comprise the Harvester/Primary Social Sources microfilm collection. Proceedings of Congresses
CRL subscribed to the reprint edition of the proceedings and congresses of the Second International, an organization of socialist and labour parties formed in Paris in 1889, and of general works of this period on socialism. CRL has received volumes 1 through 23, and will receive other volumes as they are issued. All the titles are cataloged separately; records appear in CRL’s catalog.
GUIDE: CRL Reference Folder #98. This microfiche set includes the proceedings of congresses held by various French socialist parties from 1876 to 1914.
Socialist Societies and Political Parties
The Fabian Society, a British socialist movement, issued this reprint of journals and tracts. Individual titles are cataloged in CRL’s collection, and the reports are cataloged as serials under the following entries:

Part 3 contains the complete surviving Archives of the Socialist League, 1884–91, and the Minutes and Papers of the Council of the League from the Nettlau Archive at the International Institute for Social History, Amsterdam. They provide a record of William Morris’s motives, creative work, and political activities. The set includes papers considering the practicalities and theories of socialism. An inventory appears on reel 1.
