SEEMP (Slavic and East European Microform Project) has acquired microfilm of Ilustrowany Kuryer Codzienny (Krakow, Poland), which is now available for researchers at CRL and SEEMP libraries. SEEMP’s holdings of this title are the only complete run available in North America.
Marian Dabrowski founded Ilustrowany Kuryer Codzienny in 1910. The newspaper, the only Polish daily newspaper of its time, was available throughout Europe until 1939. During the height of its popularity, it was regularly read by a million people. This important source for researching interwar Poland includes news on politics, international events, daily life, fashion, sport, and culture.
