We are excited to welcome Eva Jurczyk and Daniel Godefroy to the CIFNAL Speaker Series to speak on "Access to Literature by Black Canadians."
The presentation will describe work at the University of Toronto Libraries to fill gaps in the library of literature by Black Canadians and the novel approach the library took to establish digitization and distribution partnerships with CIDIHCA (Centre International de Documentation et d’Information Haitienne, Caribéenne et Afro-canadienne) and Black Canadian authors. Collection building is an inherently political activity, and this work speaks to the University of Toronto Libraries' growing commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of professional practice.
The presentation will be bilingual in both French and English.
