CRL's partner LLMC has digitized primary legal documents from the Berlin State Library, which are now available to CRL libraries. These materials complement other German resources in LLMC's collection that were sourced from other libraries, including the University of Pennsylvania's Biddle Law Library, the University of Virginia Law Library, the Library of Congress, and many others. Titles in LLMC's German collection were published as early as the 1670s and well into the 20th century, with the bulk of the titles originally published in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

LLMC's German collection includes federal/national level materials, as well as state/kingdom/free city materials, and they are searchable within these broad categories by specific location and by type of document. Approximately 50 titles per month are being added to the state/kingdom/free city collections at this time.

Recently added titles from the Berlin State Library include:

Titles in LLMC's collection of German federal treatises include:

LLMC’s diverse collection of primary materials includes historical, constitutional, legislative, and judicial materials from Germany and its many historical jurisdictions. CRL's partnership with LLMC allows researchers at CRL member institutions access to these important law resources through the LLMC-Digital database. These primary legal documents are available to aid scholars in many fields as they conduct research in the history, jurisprudence, and culture of Germany.
