Summer 2006 Issue of FOCUS Available
June 20, 2006The Summer 2006 Focus newsletter highlights a pair of Women’s Studies research projects—including the Modern Girl Around the World project at the University of Washington—that have mined CRL resources.
Nominations currently are being accepted for the FY07 Purchase Proposal Program. All CRL member institutions are eligible to nominate materials for this cooperative acquisition program, which last year acquired 14 collections valued at $195,505.

Center Unveils New Online Catalog
September 26, 2005The Center for Research Libraries has unveiled a new online catalog, allowing researchers additional functionality in searching and displaying the more than one million records in the catalog. The added functionality includes two new search types: a dedicated newspaper search and a combined author and title search.
Catalog Surpasses One Million Records
September 26, 2005The Center is pleased to announce that its catalog records have surpassed the one million mark. Since 2002, the cataloging department has added approximately 500,000 records to OCLC and the Center’s catalog, about 125,000 each year.
Center Welcomes Two New Voting Members

Hats off to the Center's cataloging staff for producing more than 130,950 catalog records in 2004, including 106,496 for the Center's foreign dissertations collection. Of the total records produced, 63,549 were original to WorldCat.
The University of Hong Kong was established in 1912 and its library, with collections that exceed two million volumes plus a rapidly growing corpus of electronic resources, is the oldest academic library in Hong Kong.
