CAMP recently microfilmed issues of the Senegalese newspapers Le Populaire and Info 7.

The Library of Congress Field Office in Nairobi collected the titles, and CAMP preserved them on microfilm.

Due to budget cuts, the Library of Congress is not able to fund the preservation of all of the materials it collects, so CAMP has stepped in to preserve many African newspapers for current and future researchers in various fields of African studies.

Both titles are published in Dakar, Senegal:

  • CAMP microfilmed 9 reels of Le Populaire, including issues from July 2002 to June 2007.
  • CAMP microfilmed 39 reels of Info 7, including issues from March 1999 to September 2005.
