CRL subsidized access to the online review service ccAdvisor for voting member libraries. ccAdvisor was a collaboration between Choice, publisher of Choice Reviews, and The Charleston Company, publisher of The Charleston Advisor (TCA).

ccAdvisor launched in September 2017 with nearly 300 reviews of online databases. Incorporating and updating selected product reviews originally published in TCA and with new content created for this service, ccAdvisor will focus on major electronic resources. As in TCA, reviews were commissioned from subject experts and are peer-reviewed. ccAdvisor was enhanced by new functionality, allowing users to search, filter, create lists, set alerts and build side-by-side comparison tables of related works. Reviews were continuously updated to cover product upgrades and revisions.

Used in tandem with eDesiderata, ccAdvisor intended to help CRL librariesinvest wisely by providing information and analysis. As of October 2, 2017 CRL voting member libraries had free access to ccAdvisor as a benefit of membership. Choice worked with CRL voting member libraries to facilitate sign-up for access. CRL also continues to support member access to TCA through the end of December 2017.
