FY07 Shared Purchase Program

Thursday, February 22, 2007

The Center for Research Libraries is pleased to announce the FY2007 Shared Purchase Program.

With the Shared Purchase Program, the Center supports the cooperative purchase of major costly sets that were nominated and considered for the Purchase Proposal Program, but were not of sufficiently broad interest to warrant purchase under the funds earmarked for that program. Under the Shared Purchase Program the Center allocates additional funds toward the acquisition of works of high interest to a limited number of members, and then enlists those members who wish to provide the remaining funds for the purchase. Participation in the program is voluntary.

Voting and Associate members have until Wednesday, March 28 to contribute to the nine shared purchase items under consideration this year. There were five shared purchases acquired through the program last year.

If you have questions about the Shared Purchase Program, please contact Mary Wilke.
